Yes. Standard minimum is 50 coins, 50 patches, or 25 belt buckles. Below those quantities, the per-piece cost climbs sharply because tooling and setup are the same whether you make 25 coins or 1,000. For one-off retirement pieces or single presentation buckles, ask — we can sometimes work with lower minimums on simpler designs.

No. The price you're quoted includes the coin, mold/tooling, standard plating, soft-enamel color fill (if applicable), one round of revisions (we actually do unlimited — we just don't make a thing of it), and shipping to anywhere in the contiguous U.S. Custom packaging, rush production, expedited shipping, and complex add-ons (3D mold, dual plating) are line items we'll quote separately and only if you ask for them.

Yes. Standard ground shipping to the contiguous United States is included. Expedited shipping (3-day, 2-day, overnight) is available for an additional charge based on weight. International shipping is available; ask for a rate to your destination at quote time.

No. You can use our free online challenge coin designer to sketch your concept yourself, or send us anything — a hand sketch, a photo of a patch you want translated to a coin, an existing unit logo, or just a paragraph describing what you want. Our team will turn it into a clean digital proof inside 24 hours.

Open the designer (no signup required), pick your shape and plating, type your text on a curved arc, drop in icons from our library, upload your own image or logo, toggle to design the back. The tool generates a production-ready visual in about 60 seconds. When you're happy, submit it for a free refined production proof from our team.

Unlimited. We revise the design as many times as it takes for you to be happy with it. Most customers approve at draft 2 or 3. There's no charge for revisions and no time pressure to lock the design in.

Almost anything: JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, SVG, EPS, PSD. Vector formats (AI, SVG, EPS, PDF) reproduce best because they scale cleanly to coin size, but we can work from a high-resolution raster (300+ DPI) or even from a phone photograph of a sketch or patch. If your file is borderline, we'll let you know and either redraw it or work around it — at no extra charge.

Very close. The digital proof represents the final art, plating, and color fills as accurately as the medium allows. Minor variations exist between an on-screen render and a struck metal piece (real metal reflects light differently, enamel has subtle texture), but you'll see your finished coin closely match the proof you approved.

Free design proofs are returned within 24 hours of receiving your quote request. If you submit on a weekend or holiday, expect the proof on the next business morning. Once you respond with feedback, revisions typically come back same-day.

Standard production is 30–45 days from approved final proof. The clock starts when you sign off on the design, not when you first submit the quote request. Rush production (2–3 weeks) is available for an additional fee if you have a hard deadline.

Yes. We can compress standard production to 14–21 days for an additional rush fee. Ask at quote time — we'll tell you honestly whether your deadline is achievable and exactly what the rush charge will be.

Payment is due in full when you approve the final design proof. No money changes hands until you've seen and signed off on the production-ready art. There is no upfront deposit and no card on file.

Credit/debit cards via Square, PayPal, direct bank transfer (Zelle / NFCU), and government or unit purchase orders. Unit / government PO terms are negotiable — we work with MWR funds, chiefs' messes, wardrooms, agency procurement, and federal POs.

Yes. Unit MWR funds, chiefs' mess / wardroom funds, agency purchase orders, and federal POs are all accepted. We can invoice in formats compatible with most unit fund accounting and we're happy to register in SAM.gov for larger federal contracts.

Polished or antique versions of gold, silver, bronze, and copper, plus black nickel. Antique finishes (darkened in the recesses for vintage contrast) are most popular for military and first responder coins. Dual plating — two finishes on one coin — is available for premium pieces.

Standard edge styles include smooth (clean), rope cut (twisted braid — the classic military look), reeded (vertical lines, like a U.S. quarter), wave (gentle scallop), and cross-cut (oblique slashes). All standard edges are included at no extra charge. Custom edges (e.g. integrated text, decorative motifs) are available for an upcharge.

Coins ship in bulk by default (loose in a poly bag, packed in a shipping carton). Custom packaging is an optional add-on at additional fee: PVC pouches, plastic coin capsules, plastic display boxes, velvet bags, and velvet presentation boxes are all available. Add packaging to your quote request and we'll include the cost in your estimate.

Yes. Shields, ship silhouettes, rifle outlines, mascots, state outlines — any shape you can describe. Custom shapes cost the same as round coins; there's no shape surcharge. The only constraint is that very thin protrusions need to be designed with enough material to survive striking.

Yes — and reorders are faster and cheaper because the tooling already exists. We keep your design file and mold on record indefinitely. Reorders skip the design and proof phases (unless you want changes) and go straight to production. Per-coin pricing on reorders is typically lower than the first run because there's no setup cost.

Yes. International shipping is available to most countries. Customs fees and import duties are the receiver's responsibility. Ask for an international shipping quote at order time — actual cost depends on weight and destination.

We don't ship physical sample coins (the cost of one-off sampling defeats the purpose of bulk production), but every order gets a high-resolution digital proof showing both sides, plating, and colors at production accuracy. If you've ordered before and want to see the new design in metal before committing to the full run, ask — we can sometimes produce a small advance batch for an additional fee.
